HONOR

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

To show true reverence for God we must seek to understand His nature and His Word. Only when we truly acknowledge our dependence on our infinite and omnipotent God, can we honor Him in the way He commands and deserves.

GLORIFY

"To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by His power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."

2 Thessalonians 1: 11-12

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we praise and elevate Jesus Christ as the one and only way to the Father. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and the worship we give to our Savior should be of immense magnitude, infiltrating every aspect of our lives.

EQUIP

We have been called "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."

Ephesians 4:12-16

The Church has the responsibility to teach God's Word as it was originally intended. Context, audience, and emphasis are essential when teaching and understanding God's autobiography.
